Top Chef is heading south.

EW can exclusively reveal that season 14 of Bravo’s culinary competition will take place in Charleston, South Carolina.

Charleston — a historically significant city and popular vacation spot that’s home to plenty of Southern-style cooking — will play host to Top Chef when the show returns. “Charleston is the perfect location to inject our next batch of chefs,” said Shari Levine, executive vice president for current production at Bravo Media in a statement. “We know Charleston and are excited by the food, people, and possibility it brings with its rich cultural and historical background which has played an important role in shaping South Carolina’s unique cuisine.”

SPOILERS: The announcement follows Thursday’s big reveal of Jeremy Ford as winner of this season’s Top Chef. In an epic face-off against Last Chance Kitchen winner Amar Santana, Ford forged ahead with a sophisticated take on his favorite fresh ingredients.

“It was amazing and humbling,” Ford tells EW of his victory. “I’m really excited to see what the future holds.”
