Greenwood rounds out the story’s central family, which already includes Debra Messing, who will be playing Marjorie Houseman, along with Abigail Breslin as Baby, and Sarah Hyland as Lisa. Other cast members include Nicole Scherzinger as Penny, Billy Dee Williams as Tito, Shane Harper as Robbie, Beau “Casper” Smart as Billy, Colt Prattes as Johnny, and J. Quinton Johnson as Marco.

The remake was adapted for television by American Horror Story‘s Jessica Sharzer and once again tells the story of a young girl who joins her family on a vacation in the Catskills, where she falls in love with Johnny Castle (and his unforgettable dance moves). Wayne Blaire is on board to direct.
