Captain America Civil War: Robert Downey Jr. hosts screening charity contest

You’re used to seeing Robert Downey Jr. in a different kind of suit, but the Iron Man actor has traded in his armor for big floppy ears and a purple sweater to announce a charity contest for a private screening of Captain America: Civil War.

In a promo he says was shot on Easter (which explains the bunny suit — although not to the alarmed alpaca at 0:17), the actor revealed the name of a new charity, Random Act Funding, overseen by him and his wife, Susan. This year it will be raising money for the Motion Picture & Television Fund, Make-A-Wish, and the Anti-Recidivism Coalition.

Last year, a similar program raised $2 million for Julia’s House, a children’s hospice care charity.

Fans who donate more than $10 will be entered to win a chance at Downey’s grand prize, which includes a special Civil War screening hosted by the actor. (Bunny suit optional, presumably.)

The prize also includes a photo shoot with Downey (props included — although what that means isn’t specified.) He’ll also fly winners to New York, put them up in a 4-star hotel, and take them to a pizza party at his favorite New York restaurant. In addition, they’ll be invited to attend Downey’s taping of an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
