Castle scoop: New LokSat clue to be unearthed

Castle and Beckett will come a step closer to uncovering the truth behind the mysterious LokSat when shady attorney Caleb Brown (Kristoffer Polaha) returns during Monday’s episode of Castle.

“We do get another bite at LokSat with Caleb Brown, the defense attorney we discovered was connected to LokSat in episode 10,” executive producer Alexi Hawley teases. “We do get some great moments between Caleb Brown and Beckett [Stana Katic] in episode 19, which drives us toward the final episode.”

Amid an episode that otherwise delves into a victim (Jonathan Silverman) who won’t stay dead, the duo will uncover a new clue that will lead them eventually to LokSat. “There’s a confrontation that sets the stage for [the finale],” EP Terence Paul Winter adds. “Like we promised at the beginning of the year, we’re going to answer all the questions as far as who LokSat is, and what’s really going on.”

So, who is LokSat? The mysterious entity “is probably the biggest big bad that we’ve had on Castle,” Winter says. “He or she has access to lots of money, lots of mercenaries and he [or she] has the ability to twist things in his or her way, so they have to be very careful when they’re trying to take down someone like that.”

However, the producers are staying mum on whether we may have met LokSat before on the show. “We’re trying to keep LokSat as mysterious as possible,” Winter says. “It could be someone that we met this season or previous seasons. The hope is that it’s a surprise to our audience when we find out who LokSat is.”
