America's Got Talent: Simon Cowell goes Hannibal Lecter in new promo

Talent, beware: The most feared man in reality TV is back.

Fortunately for the contestants and fellow judges of America’s Got Talent, the terror known as Simon Cowell is under Hannibal Lecter-style restraints in a new promo for the NBC competition series.

Strapped to an upright gurney while wearing a straightjacket and face mask, the former American Idol judge, who is replacing Howard Stern, is wheeled before his new colleagues Nick Cannon, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Mel B.

“Is all of this necessary?” Cowell asks. “I don’t actually bite.”

“That’s not what we heard,” Mandel replies.
