James McAvoy, John Boyega, and Nicholas Hoult are going down the rabbit hole.

The actors are among the ensemble cast of the BBC and Netflix’s Watership Down, a CGI-animated miniseries based on Richard Adams’ classic novel about a group of brave bunnies who narrowly escape the destruction of their warren and set out in search of a new home.

McAvoy will voice Hazel, the group’s leader; Hoult will voice Fiver, the seer; and Boyega will take on Bigwig, the muscle. The cast also includes Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton, Anne-Marie Duff, and Olivia Colman.

Noam Murro (300: Rise of an Empire) is directing the four-part series, which is to air in 2017. The BBC first announced the project last year and will air the miniseries in the U.K., while Netflix has come aboard to stream it in the U.S. and elsewhere around the globe.

Adams’ novel was first published in 1972 and previously adapted as an animated film in 1978 and a TV series in 1999.
