Is there anything better than a flashback to the good old days? When it comes to Jason Bourne, the answer is a resounding “no,” making a brand-new featurette jam-packed with footage from each of the three previous films in the franchise starring Matt Damon all the more delightful.

In a two-minute featurette released by Universal Pictures on Monday, scenes from The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum are shown in a supercut interspersed with interviews with Damon and returning director Paul Greengrass.

“Every airport I’m in or every time I’m walking down the street, that’s the first question. ‘Are you going to do another one of those Bourne’ movies?” Damon says, over footage of him appearing at fan events, scenes from previous Bourne films and behind-the-scenes shots of him taking jabs at unsuspecting foes. “I love making these movies. I don’t mind being followed around by Jason Bourne. I like Jason Bourne.”

The character — which Damon calls a “defining role” in his career spanning nearly two decades — takes up his most challenging mission in Jason Bourne, which sees the superspy return to work for the CIA while exploring questions about his identity.

“There’s a reason for the CIA to want to bring him back,” Greengrass explains. “In a fallen world, Bourne has to come in.”

And the result? A film of blockbuster proportions, filled with a crazy Las Vegas car chase sequence, a full-scale Greek austerity Union riot, and plenty of back-door D.C. dealing.

“It is a big Jason Bourne movie,” promises Damon of the film, starring Julia Stiles, Alicia Vikander, Tommy Lee Jones, Vincent Cassel, and Riz Ahmed. “Bigger than we’ve ever done.”

Jason Bourne hits theaters July 29.
