Gettysburg. Antietam. And the airport battle?

Funny or Die has put a comedic, spandex-clad spin on living history with the new parody video Captain America: Civil War Reenactors.

Riffing on the superhero blockbuster that pits Chris Evans’ Cap against Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, the 13-minute mockumentary follows a dedicated group of Marvel fans who seek to recreate the movie’s, er, historical milestones. To do so, they use their own costumes, props, and even interpersonal conflicts.

The major rift is between Chad and Angus (respectively played by Veep‘s Tony Hale and The Mindy Project‘s Adam Pally), who work at the same pool supply store but frequently butt heads — even when they’re not dressed up as Iron Man and Captain America.

Also featured are a Falcon who’s still saving up to buy his wings, a Vision who gets way philosophical, and a Black Panther who’s actually a white guy. One thing they all have in common is passion.

“To call us fans, that’s kind of insulting, you know,” Chad says. “My grandad was an Iron Man, my dad was an Iron Man, my sweet little daughter is going to be an innocent bystander this year.”
