“Remember the night of the hack? Remember what happened to you?” These are the questions Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) has for Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) at the start of the first trailer for season 2 of USA’s hit hacker series — and they’re the same questions that have been plaguing curious viewers since last summer’s finale.

This Mr. Robot preview debuted as a part of NBC Universal’s upfront presentation on Monday, and there’s plenty more to chew on for some of the more obsessive watchers. Hot off of success at the Golden Globes and scoring a Peabody award, the show appears to be doubling down on its penchant for striking visuals and bouts of insanity.

Fsociety masks abound in the wake of last season’s hack, which — thanks to the power of editing — appears big enough to garner the attention of President Barack Obama. The commander-in-chief, via information from the FBI, has fingered Tyrell Wellick and fsociety as the perpetrators of the economy-crippling hack.

Also spotted in the trailer is new cast member Grace Gummer as FBI Agent Dom Dipierro and The Office‘s Craig Robinson as Ray, “a neighborhood local who reaches out to Elliot in his time of need.”

When EW spoke with creator and executive producer Sam Esmail in March, he teased just how different this new set of episodes would be. “I can comfortably say that season 2 is very different from season 1,” he said.

Mr. Robot returns to USA on July 13. Check out the trailer below.
