20th Century Fox is reuniting The Martian team — again.

EW has confirmed that the studio has picked up an untitled pitch by author Andy Weir, who penned the original novel that went on to become a critical and box office hit. While plot details for Weir’s new project are being kept under wraps, Weir will write the screenplay, with Ridley Scott and Simon Kinberg — who directed and produced The Martian, respectively — set to produce.

The Martian screenwriter Drew Goddard adapted Weir’s story of astronaut Mark Watney, who’s stranded and left for dead on Mars, and Matt Damon starred in the film adaptation, which earned $630 million worldwide and was nominated for seven Oscars.

Just last week, Fox reunited multiple Martian alums on another project: a movie based on S. Craig Zahler’s Western novel Wraiths of the Broken Land. Scott is directing, with Goddard writing the script.

Deadline first reported the news of Weir’s pitch.
