Suicide Squad: Cara Delevingne got naked, howled like a wolf in the woods

Sounds like Cara Delevingne would be a tough one to beat at a game of Truth or Dare — especially the dare.

In a recent interview with W Magazine, the model and actress, whose next big role is Dr. June Moone and her alter ego Enchantress in the upcoming Suicide Squad, revealed what her first meetings were like with the movie’s director, David Ayer (Fury). She described the “dark and stormy night” of their initial introduction, in which they talked about addiction and mental illness — “things I find very, very interesting,” she says. It was their second encounter when she read a scene from Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, a play she acted in when she was 17.

“Somehow, when we were doing the scene, I became livid. I hadn’t felt rage like that in years. And then I got the part!” she recalls. “There still wasn’t a script, but David asked me to go and try and find a forest and, if it was a full moon, get naked and walk through the woods with my feet in the mud, which I did. There wasn’t a full moon, but I howled like a wolf. It would have been really funny if someone had seen me.”

Howling in the forest while naked seems tame, though, compared to what her costar Jared Leto — who plays The Joker in the DC Comics adaptation about a group of villains who join forces to stop a bigger evil — did to his castmates.

As if it wasn’t bad enough that he had a rat and a pig’s corpse delivered to his castmates, Leto also sent used condoms and anal beads — all as a way to further identify with his character’s elements of surprise and spontaneity.

In addition to Leto and Delevingne, the hotly anticipated summer movie, hitting theaters August 5, also stars Will Smith (Floyd Lawton / Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Dr. Harleen F. Quinzel / Harley Quinn), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Adam Beach (Christopher Weiss / Slipknot), and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller).
