X-Men Apocalypse: Magneto reintroduces himself in new clip

It’s been awhile since the climactic events of X-Men: Days of Future Past — two years for real-life viewers and a whole decade for the characters themselves. In that time, Magneto (Michael Fassbender) has fallen apart a bit: He’s gone from terrorizing the White House to working undercover in Germany in dirty flannel. He’s tried to hide his secret identity (not just as a mutant, but as the single most-wanted mutant in the entire world), but a new clip from X-Men: Apocalypse shows he hasn’t done a bang-up job of it.

Enraged that some of his coworkers have betrayed him to the police, Magneto uses his magnetic powers to block every exit. He then declares, in typical Shakespearean fashion, “Think of the person you love most in your life. Now that person will know what it is to lose someone they love.” When the foreman pleads with “Henryk” to stop, the teary-eyed mutant responds, “My name isn’t Henryk. My name is Magneto.”
