Oscar winner Natalie Portman celebrates her 35th birthday Thursday. Born Neta-Lee Hershlag in Jerusalem on June 9, 1981, the future star made her acting debut in the ’90s, nabbing early roles in Heat, Beautiful Girls, and Everyone Says I Love You before playing Queen Amidala in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
