As production begins on the follow-up to Starz’s Emmy-nominated 2013 mini-series The White Queen, the cable network on Monday announced new faces joining the project. The White Princess, based on Philippa Gregory’s best-selling novel of the same name, will feature Suki Waterhouse, Essie Davis, and Joanne Whalley, among others.

Davis (The Babadook) will play Queen Elizabeth, a.k.a. “The White Queen” and mother to the sequel’s eponymous Princess Elizabeth, who will be played by Jodie Comer (My Mad Fat Diary). In the story, Princess Elizabeth is forced to marry Henry VII, played by Jacob Collins-Levy (Holding the Man). Davis joins her fellow Game of Thrones alum Michelle Fairley, who was previously announced as the actress portraying Henry’s mother, Margaret Beaufort.

Whalley and Waterhouse will play relatives of Princess Elizabeth: Whalley (Gossip Girl) as her widowed aunt, and Waterhouse (Insurgent) as her jealous younger sister. Elizabeth’s cousin Margaret Plantagenet will be played by yet another Game of Thrones actor, Rebecca Benson. Vincent Regan (300), Rhys Connah (Happy Valley), Caroline Goodall (Hook), and Kenneth Cranham (Maleficent) round out the cast.

The White Princess will air on Starz in 2017.
