The upcoming film Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them may be a prequel to the Harry Potter series of novels and movies, but intrepid fans will remember it’s also based on a book of its own. Back in 2001, J.K. Rowling published Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them under the name Newt Scamander, a real-life realization of one of Harry’s fictional magic textbooks. After the film adaptation hits theaters this fall starring Eddie Redmayne as Scamander, Scholastic will be issuing a new edition of the original Fantastic Beasts book in 2017.

This reissue will include a new foreward by Rowling (who also penned the film screenplay), a new cover design, and new illustrations and doodles from Rowling scattered throughout the book.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, the movie, hits theaters Nov. 19. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, the book, is back on shelves March 14, 2017 from Scholastic.
