Blake Shelton discusses Gwen Stefani relationship with Chelsea Handler

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have already made beautiful music together, but the country star recently revealed just how much his relationship with his fellow The Voice judge inspired his new album, If I’m Honest. During an appearance on Thursday’s Chelsea, Shelton lauded the pop star for changing his life and getting him out of “rock bottom” after his break-up with Miranda Lambert.

“When my marriage fell apart, and then trying to pick the pieces up from being at the rock bottom and trying to move forward, next thing you know, there’s this person that I kind of knew, that I worked with on [The Voice],” Shelton said, “And then all of a sudden, to find out she’s going through the same exact thing at the same time.”

“And this is how my life turned around. And so quickly too, by the way. Like, all of this has to be meant to happen,” he went on. “So I made a record about it.”

“It makes me nervous to talk about it,” he admitted, afraid to jinx the relationship. When Handler asked if this was the happiest he’s been in his life, Shelton said, “There’s no question about that. Absolutely no question about that.”
