BrainDead: CBS political satire moves to Sunday nights

Real world politics are forcing BrainDead to take its political satire to another night.

Starting July 24, BrainDead will air on Sundays at 10 p.m., CBS announced Friday. The network decided to move the Robert and Michelle King-created series from its Monday night spot in order to make room for coverage of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.

On the Mondays of July 18 and July 25, the network will lead into its convention coverage with reruns of Scorpion at 9 p.m. Then, starting on Aug. 1, Scorpion will move to 10 p.m., following CBS’ two hour comedy block.

BrainDead —which stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Danny Pino, Tony Shalhoub, and Aaron Tveit — is currently in the middle of its 13-episode freshman season.
