Taylor Swift pseudonym dropped on Calvin Harris song

Taylor Swift is done hiding under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg. The singer, who penned ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris’ “This Is What You Came For” under the fake name, is now credited with her real name on the track at BMI. The change was instituted “late last week,” a rep for BMI tells EW.

News that Swift wrote the single, which features Rihanna and has peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 after debuting in April, surfaced July 13. Soon after, Harris called Swift an “amazing lyric writer.”

“She smashed it as usual,” he said on Twitter. He then went on to confirm that “initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym,” before hitting back at Swift and her team for releasing the information.

“Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though,” he continued. “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.”

Swift has not publicly addressed the change in name on “This Is What You Came For,” and her rep did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment. Harris’ rep did not have a comment at this time. See the song credits in a screengrab from the BMI database below.

The potential revelation comes after Swift was at the center of Monday’s news cycle thanks to her ongoing feud with Kanye West, who referenced Swift in the song “Famous.” Since the track debuted earlier this year, Swift has maintained she didn’t know about the lyric, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.” West, however, claimed he had sought her permission, and a video released by West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, confirms the rapper and Swift discussed the track (if not the second half of the lyric).

Once Kardashian posted the clip, Swift responded via a note on Instagram, where she said, “you cannot ‘approve’ a song you haven’t heard.”

“Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination,” she wrote.
