Lena Dunham, OITNB stars support Hillary Clinton in new video

Lena Dunham, Uzo Aduba, and other members of the Orange Is the New Black cast teamed up for a video supporting Hillary Clinton and advocating for more women in elected office.

The video, titled #ThisIsWhatMyRevolutionLooksLike, features a host of celebrities raising awareness for women’s issues pivotal to the upcoming presidential election. They push for passing paid family leave, protecting a woman’s right to choose, equal pay, and landing the first presidential cabinet with at least 50 percent of all positions filled by women.

“Women made up 53 percent of voters in the last election, and yet we only make up 19.4 percent of our congress? What the f—?” Aduba asks.

They proceed to define what revolution means to them. “It looks like women finally having a set at the table. At the head of the table,” Dunham says. Adds Natasha Lyonne: “It means the leadership of this country finally getting somewhat closer to reflecting who makes up half this country.”

Made in collaboration with grassroots organization Humanity for Hillary, the video hits just as the Democratic National Convention launches its first day in Philadelphia, where Clinton is expected to be announced as the Democratic presidential nominee.

Many famous faces, including Dunham, are slated to appear at the event. “You better believe I’ll be @DemConvention to see @HillaryClinton accept the nomination,” the Girls creator and star tweeted.
