Lenny Kravitz strutted across the Democratic National Convention stage Wednesday to play his pacifistic 1989 first single, in honor of Hillary Clinton.

The rocker played “Let Love Rule” at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center after former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg’s pro-Clinton, anti-Donald Trump speech.

“We got to let love rule,” Kravitz said at the end of the song. “One God, one planet, one people, and love is the only solution.”

Paul Simon, Demi Lovato, and Alicia Keys all performed earlier in the week, and a giant Broadway ensemble performed “What The World Needs Now Is Love” also on Wednesday, a track they covered to support victims of the Orlando gay nightclub shooting.
