Gilmore Girls premiere date set by Netflix

Netflix has finally set a premiere date for the Gilmore Girls revival.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life — which consists of four 90-minute installments that take place in winter, spring, summer, and fall — will debut globally on Nov. 25 at 12:01 a.m. PT on the streaming service.

Among the original stars set to return alongside Lauren Graham (Lorelai) and Alexis Bledel (Rory) include Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Melissa McCarthy (Sookie), Sean Gunn (Kirk), Liza Weil (Paris), Yanic Truesdale (Michel), and more. (Details here.) A Year in the Life was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino.

In addition to the announcement, Netflix also released a first teaser trailer for the return.

“We’ve been talking about it since the day the old show ended,” Graham said about the revival at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. “The first step was: Is there willingness? If we could make it happen, would we?”
