Edgar Wright recently wrapped his upcoming project Baby Driver, a crime thriller that stars Ansel Elgort as the titular getaway driver. The film won’t hit theaters until March 17, 2017, and in the meantime, Wright somehow found the time to put together a list of his 1,000 — yes, that’s 1,000 with three zeroes — favorite films of all time.

The Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim vs, The World director has assembled a list of his 1,000 favorite movies, spanning almost a century of film. Arranged in chronological order, Wright’s list kicks off with Robert Wiene’s 1920 classic The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and concludes with Nicolas Winding Refn’s controversial horror flick The Neon Demon, which opened this year.

In between are 998 eclectic choices, including everything from Citizen Kane and The Godfather to The Lobster and The LEGO Movie. The result is an insightful look at some of Wright’s biggest influences, although when a few Twitter users asked him to rank the list, he replied, “Uh. Pass. Chronological is good.”
