Casual

Whether it was going for laughs during a short-lived stint on Saturday Night Live or spicing up the recurring cast of HBO’s comedy Enlightened, Michaela Watkins has spent recent years as a key supporting character on a variety of notable programs; Thankfully she’s found a more permanent home at the center of Hulu’s Casual, which gives her comedic talents the proper space to flourish alongside fellow cast members Tommy Dewey, Tara Lynne Barr, Nyasha Hatendi, and Frances Conroy.

Casual follows a middle-aged, newly-divorced mother, Valerie, as she navigates the messy waters of single life while living with her younger brother and teenage daughter. Mixing elements of dark comedy and emotionally-charged drama, Casual has found a beautiful balance of genres as its second season charges on.

New episodes of Casual season 2 stream every Tuesday on Hulu through Aug. 23.

Jason Bourne

It’s been nine years since Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass made sweet movie magic together on 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum, and the action duo are back together for the fifth installment in the popular series. The film also sees Julia Stiles returning as Nicky Parsons alongside Bourne newcomers like Tommy Lee Jones, Vincent Cassel, and reigning Best Supporting Actress Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander, blending old and new for a refreshing entry in the 14-year old franchise.

As enjoyable as Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz made 2012’s The Bourney Legacy, with Damon and Greengrass back in control, the Bourne series finally feels like home again.

Jason Bourne opens July 29 in theaters.

“Holy Key” by DJ Khaled

As summer rages on, so can your next house party — as long as DJ Khaled’s new single, “Holy Key,” is on your playlist. The 40-year old assembled an all-star roster of featured artists like the pro that he is, as Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, and Betty Wright provide high-octane support on this bass-heavy banger that deserves to be blasted through your speakers.

“Holy Key,” which appears on DJ Khaled’s forthcoming LP Major Key, is available now on iTunes

Bachelor in Paradise

Twenty seasons into its run on ABC, The Bachelor shows no signs of slowing down, especially as the spin-off series Bachelor in Paradise gears up for a third go-round chock full of past contestants looking to mend their broken hearts with newfound love. Mixing personalities from both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise season 3 promises the perfect amount of juicy drama to fill the void after the latter’s 12th season ends on Aug. 1.

Bachelor in Paradise premieres Aug. 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Terribly Funny

Balancing comedy and tragedy with ease, Steve Basilone’s Terribly Funny stands out as a rarity on today’s podcast scene. Thoughout his career as a comedy writer and producer who’s worked on popular series like The Goldbergs and Community, Basilone has amassed a small army of industry connections, many of whom appear on the series as the host delves deep into their existence as funny people who’ve experienced terrible things in their personal lives.

Terribly Funny is available now on iTunes and SoundCloud.
