America’s got nightmares after witnessing a shocking accident on Tuesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent.

As part of his quarterfinals act, Canadian stunt man Ryan Stock posed with a target in his mouth, which his fiancée, Amber Lynn Walker, attempted to shoot with a flaming arrow. The only problem? Walker missed, sending the arrow straight into Stock’s neck as the episode aired live.

The audience screamed in horror as Stock brushed at his neck, removing the target and hunching over as stunned judges Mel B, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Simon Cowell watched.

Host Nick Cannon asked Stock if he was okay, which the contestant confirmed. “I’m okay, I’m okay,” Stock repeated as Mandel suggested he see the show’s on-hand medical staff.

Following the episode, Stock commented on the incident via Twitter.

“We had a serious mishap tonight,” he wrote. “A very unfortunate mechanical failure but I am very fortunate to walk away from it.”

The official America’s Got Talent Twitter page also tweeted a response to Stock’s scary experience.

“You NEVER know what will happen when #AGT is live,” the post reads.
