Britney Spears's 'Make Me' music video releases

Britney Spears has her choice of hunky costars in her new music video.

Friday, the pop star released the video for “Make Me,” which features Spears auditioning a line of shirtless men to co-star in the clip. The scene opens with Spears and a group of girlfriends inviting a handsome stranger to her video’s casting call — “You’re gonna have a lot of fun,” she promises him. On the production set, she and her friends ogle the auditioning men, and Spears ends up rolling around in a bed with one them. Oh, and G-Eazy also pops up on a TV screen for a bit.

In a Q&A on Tumblr last week, Spears teased that the video would feature “lots of female empowerment.” The concept is somewhat similar to Jennifer Lopez’s 2014 video “I Luh Ya Papi,” which actively objectified men in the way that the music video form has historically objectified women.

“Make Me” is Spears’ lead single from her ninth studio album Glory, which will be out Aug. 26. Check out the new music video above.
