The new VH1 series, The Breaks is set in New York City, but the newly announced cast seems a lot like Baltimore, as The Wire alums Wood Harris and Tristan “Mack” Wilds are among the series regulars.

Harris and Wilds both starred in the film that originally debuted on VH1 in January, which is now being turned into a full-fledged series. Other returning cast members from the film include Evan Handler (Sex and the City), Antoine Harris (Ballers), Alton Williamson (The Night Of), and David Call (The Magicians).

The Breaks, which will premiere in January 2017, is also adding some new blood with Melonie Diaz (Fruitvale Station), Sinqua Walls (Power), and Ali Ahn (Billions) coming on board.

The series, which is based on the book, The Big Payback by Dan Charnas, is set in New York City during the 1990s and follows three young friends pursuing their hip-hop dreams.
