Game of Thrones: Jon Snow, Daenerys and more get political campaign ads

While Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump vie for the American vote, the political race in Westeros is heating up. HBO released campaign ads for four candidates from Game of Thrones eyeing the Iron Throne. The question is, which one are you backing: Daenerys, Jon, Cersei, or Littlefinger?

Earlier this month, HBO revealed its “GOT Party” marketing campaign ahead of the show’s season 6 release on digital platforms. Now each candidate gets to make their case for why they deserve the throne.

Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) has one of the better campaign slogans: “Break the Wheel,” taken from one of her season 5 quotes. Her polling numbers aren’t far ahead of Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington), who has the support of the North, while Petyr Baelish (Aidan Gillen) knows how to play “the game,” and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) flaunts her power in her political ad.

At the time of writing, Baelish was in the lead with 35 percent of the vote, followed by Dany and Jon (tied at 32 percent), and Cersei coming in last (1 percent). The digital polls will be open for another 19 days on thegotparty.com.
