Michael Pena is getting his own American horror story. EW can confirm the Ant-Man star has been cast in the lead role for Sony’s horror thriller The Bringing, which takes place in the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

While plot details are under wraps, Pena will play a man investigating a mysterious death at the site. Jeremy Lovering (In Fear) will direct the film based on a 2014 Blacklist script by Brandon and Phillip Murphy. Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer penned revisions.

The Cecil’s dark past is marked by several suicides on the grounds during the 1950s and ’60s. It was also used as inspiration for Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Hotel. “There was a surveillance video that went around two years ago that showed a girl getting into an elevator in a hotel that was said to be haunted,” he said, “and she was never seen again.”

The Hollywood Reporter was first to report the news.
