Bruce Springsteen’s lyrics rang true at a recent concert — two hearts are better than one.

During a Thursday night show at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Springsteen and the E Street Band were performing “Jersey Girl” when he noticed something happening in the crowd. “What’s going on down there?” he asked, guitarist Steven Van Zandt indicating with his ring finger that a couple just got engaged.

All captured on video, Springsteen is then seen inviting the two on stage, where they embraced to cheers from the crowd. The Boss passed off his mic to the groom-to-be, who said they’ve been “to a ton of shows” in their 8 years together, but “this is by far the highlight of them all.”

“I love you more than anyone else in the world. I love you more than music itself. I love you more than Bruce!” he said, the musician exchanging his smile for a humorous look of disgust.

The singer also brought a young girl on stage in the same show to sing “Waiting on a Sunny Day” with him. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band continues its tour with an additional show on Aug. 30 at the MetLife Stadium.
