Luke Cage: Mike Colter Marvel clip shows bulletproof rumble

What’s the worst thing about being Luke Cage? “I’m about sick of always having to buy new clothes,” he says, after shrugging off gunfire in a clip from Netflix’s new Marvel series.

Following his debut as the indestructible strongman in Jessica Jones, Mike Colter returns in Luke Cage, about the Defender of Harlem fighting crime on the streets of his NYC neighborhood. As shown in the latest preview, this means dealing with some unscrupulous individuals.

“I guess you guys haven’t heard about me, have you?” Luke says after some thugs bring guns to a superhero fight. Watch the clip in the video above.

Colter features alongside Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Mahershala Ali, Frank Whaley, and Rosario Dawson, to name a few of the new and returning players. Luke Cage debuts its first season in full on Sept. 30, but he’ll return again to team up with Jessica, Daredevil, and Iron Fist for The Defenders.
