Zayn Malik is attached to a scripted series about the formation of a massively successful, One Direction-esque boy band, EW has confirmed.
The show is titled Boys and is in development at NBC. Malik will executive-produce alongside Dick Wolf (Law & Order, Chicago Fire) and his wife, Noelle. Sherri Cooper Landsman and Jennifer Levin, co-creators of the CW’s Beauty and the Beast, will serve as writers for the project.

“Dick Wolf is a legend and the opportunity to work with him and NBC to create a compelling drama series is awesome,” Malik said in a release.
Added Noelle Wolf, “We were intrigued by the synergistic potential that Zayn brings to the project.”
