Sia’s gearing up for a fall tour, but that hasn’t stopped her from recording new music.
The pop powerhouse surprise released a new track, “The Greatest,” on Labor Day.
The song, co-written and produced by Greg Kurstin, features dancehall beats, a massive, catchy chorus, and a verse from Kendrick Lamar, who raps, “I transform with pressure, I’m hands-on with effort/ I fell twice before, my bounce back was special/ Letdowns will get you and the critics will test you/ But the strongest survive another scar may bless you.”
Sia also put out a video for “The Greatest,” and the clip features her old pal, Maddie Ziegler, of “Chandelier” fame. Dancing in a black wig and muted leotard, Ziegler performs with rainbow face paint, and bounces from drab room to drab room, joined by a crowd of children.
Sia last released a full album, This Is Acting, in January, and its single Cheap Thrills recently topped the Billboard Hot 100.
