Friday Night Lights stars Minka Kelly and Scott Porter reunite

Lyla and Jason are back together… for a hot second. Friday Night Lights stars Minka Kelly and Scott Porter had an impromptu reunion at a special sold-out screening of Sixteen Candles at Cinespia, presented by Amazon Studios, in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

The actors posted photos of their reunion to social media, writing “Six” (Jason’s nickname on the show) and “Garrity” (the last name of Kelly’s character). The actors played lovebirds in the series, which premiered in 2006 and ran for five seasons.

Porter joined his former castmates during the big Friday Night Lights reunion at the ATX Festival earlier this year, though Kelly wasn’t present. “Being back here is amazing,” he said in a video for EW. “We used to play flag football on this field and I think that, even more than shooting out here, means something to me in a special way and to be where those memories were made, where those friendships were really forged and ironed.”
