Beck's 'Wow' music video: Singer gets predictably weird

Back in June, Beck released his latest single “Wow.” Now, the boundary-pushing 46-year-old artist has shared a surreal video to go along with the cut. (Not to be confused with the similarly strange lyric video for the song, which accompanied its initial June release.)

Beck co-directed the “Wow” clip with Grady Hall — who previously teamed with the singer for 2005’s “Girl” video — and it features tons of weird imagery: cowboys on the prowl, roses with blinking eyes, and technicolor fuzzy creatures. And, of course, Beck busts out his unique dance moves.

Beck produced “Wow” with longtime collaborator Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia), who also worked on last year’s “Dreams.” Both tracks will appear on Beck’s still-untitled 13th studio album, which is due out Oct. 21. “It’s really fun and beat-driven,” Kurstin recently told EW when discussing the project. Beck also dished about the album for EW’s Fall Music Preview, calling it “much more celebratory and hopefully uplifting” that 2014’s Grammy-winning Morning Phase, which he worked on concurrently.
