Trevor Noah to do live Daily Show after presidential debates

The Daily Show is going live once again, Comedy Central announced Thursday.

As part of the program’s ongoing “Democalypse 2016” election coverage, host Trevor Noah will take the show live following Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump’s inaugural debate on Sept. 26 and next face-off on Oct. 19, as well as vice presidential candidates Tim Kaine and Mike Pence’s Oct. 4 showdown.

The news follows NBC’s announcement that Late Night With Seth Meyers will air live on debate night. Hosts in the late night arena that have previously gone live to cover this election cycle include The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and Real Time With Bill Maher.

The first presidential debate will be moderated by NBC Nightly Newshost Lester Holt. All three rounds of The Daily Show‘s post-debate commentary will air during its regularly scheduled timeslot of 11 p.m. ET, 30 minutes after the events are scheduled to end.
