Nashville: Looking's Murray Bartlett joins season 5

Murray Bartlett will have a recurring role on the next season of Nashville.

The Looking actor will play Jakob Fine, described as “a very handsome, charismatic and successful men’s fashion designer,” when the show returns for its fifth season.

Bartlett’s previous work includes Sex & The City, Guiding Light, White Collar, The Good Wife, Damages, and Girl Most Likely opposite Kristen Wiig. He’s the latest addition to the Nashville team, following the casting of transgender actress Jen Richards.

The first four seasons of Nashville aired on ABC, but the show was axed this year. CMT acquired the show for season 5; each new episode will air on the network and then stream on Hulu the following day.

Nashville returns with a two-hour premiere on Jan. 5 on CMT.
