Secrets and Lies sneak peek: Detective Cornell questions Eric

The drama is starting to heat up on Secrets and Lies, and Eric is feeling the pressure.

The season 2 premiere brought up questions about Eric’s (Michael Ealy) past, after Detective Andrea Cornell (Juliette Lewis) revealed that he spent six months in a detention center for killing a man. What little benefit out of the doubt Cornell gave Eric appears gone.

In an exclusive sneak peek of episode 2, Cornell drops by to lay into Eric — without a lawyer — about his alibi two weeks prior. Eric reveals he tailed his late wife, Kate, to a dinner with her ex, Shane. She was seeking legal advice, nothing more, in his view.

“I trust my wife,” Eric tells Cornell. “I don’t trust Shane Campbell.”
