We still haven’t seen Marvel’s mind-altering trip through the multiverse otherwise known as Doctor Strange, but the director of Thor: Ragnarok promises his movie will be the most “out there” Marvel film so far.

During a Reddit AMA on Saturday night, Taika Waititi wrote in response to a fan question, “I think [Thor: Ragnarok] will be one of the most adventurous and most ‘out there’ of all the Marvel movies. It’s a crazy movie.” Elsewhere, another user asked if we can expect an ’80s vibe, to which the director responded, “You can. And more.”

Despite the content, Waititi promised Reddit a similar tone to what we’ve seen in his earlier work, like What We Do in the Shadows and The Hunt for the Wilderpeople. “You can expect a Taika-esque tone,” he wrote. “They’ve been very accepting of my style.”

Thor: Ragnarok features Chris Hemsworth as the titular hero, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and Idris Elba as Heimdall, while Blanchett rounds out the batch of newcomers with Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster, and Karl Urban as Skurge.

The film arrives Nov. 3, 2017.
