It seems there are still plenty of things left to fall. In the wake of London Has Fallen’s $205 million global box office, Gerard Butler is set to return as Secret Service Agent Mike Banning in Angel Has Fallen, EW has confirmed. Like its predecessors (which began with 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen), Angel Has Fallen will follow Banning’s efforts to protect American leaders from the forces of terrorism. The title refers to the Secret Service codename for Air Force One (“Angel”), although apparently this time Banning is just as much of a target as the president he’s sworn to protect.

No director has been set yet for Angel Has Fallen, and no word yet on franchise stalwarts like Morgan Freeman and Aaron Eckhart. The film is set to begin production in the first half of 2017.
