CMA Awards 2016: Winners list

The CMA Awards celebrate their 50th anniversary on Wednesday, and while the show won’t actually air until tonight, the Country Music Association began announcing winners early in the morning on Good Morning America.

Maren Morris, Eric Church, and Chris Stapleton lead the pack with five nods each. Other hot contenders include Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, and Dierks Bentley.

Underwood and Brad Paisley will host the show, which airs 8 p.m. ET on ABC. For a preview of the broadcast, tune in to “People & EW Red Carpet Live,” which will broadcast live from Nashville and New York on the People/ Entertainment Weekly Network, EW.com, PEOPLE.com, InStyle.com, and SouthernLiving.com at 5:30 p.m. ET.
