Megyn Kelly, Jimmy Fallon trick each other in Box of Lies game

Journalist Megan Kelly has a made a career of delivering the news, but can she lie to Jimmy Fallon?

The Fox News Channel correspondent joined the titular late night host on The Tonight Show to play a creatively quirky game, “Box of Lies.” Kelly and Fallon are tasked with opening a mysterious box containing a crazy item, showing it to the audience, and then forced to either lie or describe the item truthfully to the other player.

Right from round one, Kelly and Fallon can’t keep a straight face. Kelly pulls the first box, which contains a crazy concoction of a deer head, dinosaur tail, and body of iPhone 5’s. Kelly pulls herself together, mistakingly calling the head a moose, but her years of giving the hard-hitting facts leads Fallon to believer her.

Fallon takes on round two, jokingly straining to the lift the box as if it was heavy. “I’m gonna tell you exactly what’s in there,” said Fallon. “I’m just going to be straight up.” He pulls a colorful Furby wearing a beer hat, but Fallon sticks to his promise to tell the truth. “In my deception detection class, they said we should follow the body language,” said Kelly. “So I’m going to say, it was a lie.” Fallon’s trickery skills are too advanced for Kelly, and she loses the point when he reveals the imbibing Furby.
