Florence Henderson: Brady Bunch stars pay tribute

The Brady Bunch stars Barry Williams and Maureen McCormick paid tribute to their TV mom, Florence Henderson, who died Thursday at age 82.

“Deeply saddened,” Williams, who played Greg on the sitcom, tweeted Friday. “Florence was one of the most gracious people I have ever known, Proud to call her Mom and life long friend.”

McCormick, a.k.a. Marcia Brady, also tweeted out a message Friday. “Florence Henderson was a dear friend for so very many years & in my <3 forever. Love & hugs to her family. I'll miss u dearly."

Henderson played the Brady matriarch on the show throughout its five-season run from 1969 to 1974. “I played Carol as the mother I always wished I had,” she said, “as the mother a lot of people wished they had.”
