While the long-gestating Tha Carter V has yet to land a release date, there’s good news for Lil Wayne fans: Weezy has a new project in the works.

During an interview on the skating podcast The Nine Club on Monday, the rapper said new music is coming in the form of a mysterious project titled Funeral. “Just make sure they know that Funeral is coming soon,” he said. “That’s my music. Get your roses ready.”

Wayne continued, but offered few details: “I don’t have a release date, but I have a whole bunch of good news coming soon. If you are a Wayne fan, I know we’ve been going through a lot of tough times right now, but if you are a Wayne fan, we’re about to hold our heads high soon.” One host joked about trying to get a song on the project, but Wayne said, “It’s already printed.”

While Tha Carter V is under lock and key, Wayne released Free Weezy Album on Tidal in July 2015, spurring controversy with his label, Cash Money, which sued Jay Z and his streaming service. Later that year, Wayne dropped his No Ceilings 2 mixtape.

Reps for Lil Wayne did not respond to EW’s request for comment. See Wayne talk about Funeral below, beginning at 56:20.
