Cast of Hairspray Live reveals pre-show rituals

Actors tend to have some weird pre-show rituals, but the ones from the cast of Hairspray Live! just might take the cake.

Kristin Chenoweth told EW that she does something she calls “pop pray.” “I have to pop every bone starting from my neck down and then I pray.” Sounds painful.

Derek Hough, slightly horrified at what he just heard, shares his ritual: “I wear two pairs of socks. A white pair and a black pair on top.” We’ll be watching for those socks during the broadcast!

“We both like to masturbate,” Harvey Fierstein deadpans jokingly, referring to himself and Jennifer Hudson.
