Riding high off his newest album Purpose, Justin Bieber ruled the charts in his comeback year.
The young pop star had the most-viewed video on Vevo in 2016 with “Sorry (PURPOSE: The Movement),” the streaming service announced Thursday. It accrued a mere 1.8 billion views worldwide. Two other tracks from his fourth studio album appeared at No. 5 and No. 6: the cinematic video for “What Do You Mean?” and the dancey visuals of “Love Yourself (PURPOSE: The Movement).”
Rolling in the deep at second place is Adele. The 25 songstress returned to the limelight with the empowering “Hello,” which had over 1.2 billion plays. A pair of collaborations round out the top five: Fifth Harmony and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Work From Home” claimed the No. 3 spot, while Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s collaboration “This Is What You Came For” claimed fourth place. All five exceeded 1 billion views.
