Sherlock releases intense season 4 trailer

The new trailer for Sherlock season 4 is the best one yet. It’s very dark, quite intense, and is largely narrated by the international fan favorite series’ new villain — Culverton Smith (played by Toby Jones). Most intriguing is the trailer’s final line, which looks like it’s delivered under rather foreboding circumstances.

Sherlock returns Jan. 1 to PBS Masterpiece. And in case you missed it, the new season’s finale will screen in theaters too (details on that here).
