Billions season 2 trailer: Axe seeks to finish Rhoades

The war between Axe (Damian Lewis) and Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) is far from over.

In the first teaser trailer for the second season of Showtime’s Billions, Axe doubles down on destroying his rival and the only man stopping him from taking Wall Street for himself. And with an FBI investigation underway into Rhoades’ office, Axe may just get a chance.

Still, with Wendy (Maggie Siff) in play, neither man may find their side easy to win. Axe wants her back in his company, but she’s not budging; Rhoades wants to work on their marriage, but she’s ready for him to move out. And as for Lara (Malin Akerman)? It’s safe to say she’ll continue to do whatever she needs to get what she wants. After all, hate runs deep.

“Hate is nature’s most perfect energy source,” Axe says at the end of the trailer. “It’s endlessly renewable.” Even if Axe’s infamous “f— you” money isn’t.
