Tales of derring-do will now be told by some of the hottest rising comedy actors in the business.
Disney XD has announced the cast for its summer 2017 premiere of DuckTales, the hotly-anticipated reboot of the original ‘80s cartoon series.
David Tennant will lead the ensemble as Scrooge McDuck, alongside a trio of actors voicing his nephews: Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan will play Huey, Dewey, and Louie, respectively. SNL’s Beck Bennett will voice Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge’s personal pilot; Toks Olagundoye will play Mrs. Beakley, his housekeeper; and Kate Micucci will play precocious Webby Vanderquack.
To announce the cast, Disney cobbled together a video of the actors paying tribute to what’s perhaps the most beloved Duck Tale (can they be singular?) of all: The iconic theme song.
DuckTales arrives on Disney XD in the summer of 2017.
