Janelle Pierzina says she is retiring from Big Brother

The fan favorite says that after her run on "The Traitors," "I don't really even know if I'm going to do any more TV."

Janelle Pierzina ended her run on The Traitors last week when she went toe-to-toe with fellow Big Brother legend Dan Gheesling. Janelle tried to convince the group of Faithful that Dan was a Traitor, but the master of the mist was able to flip the script and help turn the table against Janelle instead, leading to her banishment.

Janelle already chatted with EW all about her experience on The Traitors — including getting into a curse-off with Sandra Diaz-Twine and her reaction to Larsa Pippen's claim that she was jealous about screen time — but we also spoke about the show that made her famous. Janelle has appeared four times on Big Brother (seasons 6, 7, 14, and 22) and made it all the way to third place twice. She also set the record for most individual competitions wins in a single season with nine (a record just recently broken by season 25 champion Jag Bains).

But if you were hoping to see Janelle back inside the Big Brother house, those hopes and dreams are about to be dashed. In fact, Janelle says that after The Traitors, “I don't really even know if I'm going to do any more TV after this.” She explained to EW why she may be hanging up her reality TV heels, and why she’s done playing Big Brother.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So you've done Big Brother and now you've done The Traitors. How do the experiences compare? They both seem very intense, but in different ways.

JANELLE PIERZINA: Yeah, that's a great way to put it. It's just very intense in different ways. I love Big Brother because you have time to think about things and strategize, where I feel like Traitors is just so quick and you don't get as much sleep or rest or pampering as the Big Brother house does. On Big Brother, you can lay in bed all day and really think about people. On The Traitors, they just throw you in. Every single day you're filming and you're just in the moment.

So there's a lot of paranoia, I would say. And there's a lot of just trying to take everything in and [a lot to] think about. It is just not really as easy to do as Big Brother, where you can think about what people said and you can really, really focus on “Okay, what's the best move to do here?” There's really no time [on The Traitors].

What did you make of Big Brother Reindeer Games?

I liked Reindeer Games. I thought it was a nice change. I loved that it was fast-paced. I loved the competitions. That was my favorite thing. I was like, I would totally be down for that. It's stuff I could win. Now, Big Brother is such a production where you have to be so physical to win those competitions and I don't like that. So I do like the competitions for Reindeer Games. I think it was a nice change.

Would you do Reindeer Games if they do it again next year?

I don't know that I would. I don't think so. No.

Why?

I don't really even know if I'm going to do any more TV after this.

Really? Why do you say that?

I didn't think I would even do anything after my last [Big Brother] All-Stars. I guess I'm just very pessimistic about what comes my way, or if I'm busy with my career or whatever. I don't know that I have the time to do a lot of TV. I don't know that I would do Reindeer Games. I feel like if they put me in there with people that were my age, potentially, but I didn't really love the last All-Stars I did where there was people that had been on Big Brother for a day or two or whatever and showed up on an All-Stars cast. No.

Would you do another regular Big Brother?

Definitely not. No. I really don't want to play Big Brother anymore. As much as I love the show and I'm respectful of what it's given me in my life and what it's done for me, I really don't want to do that. I don't want to sit in a house and talk and talk and talk to people all day long. I just had my 44th birthday, so I'm kind of over that.

But you're not officially retiring from reality competition TV though? You're just selective in what you pick?

I'm super selective. My favorite show that I ever did was Snake in the Grass. And what I liked about that, it was just a three-day shoot and I got to win some money and I got to play with Rachel and I like a quick little thing. Buddy Games would be good for me. I would do Buddy Games.

At one point you told me you wanted to do Survivor, I guess that's off the table now.

After I did Snake in the Grass, I don't think I can do Survivor. Yeah, the bugs were getting to me sleeping in the jungle. It was really not for me.
