John Waters explains why he's a perfect graduation speaker in book trailer

Hairspray filmmaker John Waters gave a delightfully unconventional commencement speech at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2015 — and lucky for us, his words from that day are being immortalized in a beautifully designed new book titled Make Trouble.

EW is excited to reveal the exclusive book trailer above, in which Waters explains why he’s the perfect graduation speaker (“I was thrown out of high school and college… and I’m rich!”), and gives his advice to new grads: “You need to wreck things from the inside. Destroy stupid values from a position of power!”
